The Microsoft Pro Photo Summit will be held on the Microsoft campus in Redmond, Wash., June 28-29. Microsoft CTO David Vaskevitch will give the keynote address, and Windows Vista experts will present demonstrations. Contests/Scholarships

The Center for Fine Art Photography, in Fort Collins, Colo., is inviting photographers working in all media and styles to participate in its exhibitions. Entries are due July 10, and selected works will be exhibited in the Denver International Airport gallery. Upcoming opportunities include a Members’ Exhibition, with entries due Aug. 7, and the 2006 International Exhibition of Fine Art Photography, with entries due Sept. 25.More information and application procedures are available at www.c4fap.org.

The Turks and Caicos Tourism Board is seeking submissions for its Second Annual Summer Event, the Underwater Photography Competition. Winning photographs will be published as a set of commemorative postage stamps bearing the photographers’ names and countries of origin. In addition, grand-prize winners in Amateur and Professional categories will be awarded a first-place $5,000 cash prize, a second-place $3,000 cash prize or a third-place $2,000 cash prize. Individuals participating in the competition can submit their entries to any participating dive shop or the Tourist Board’s offices by Aug. 31. Project EverGreen is seeking the best photos of all types of well maintained green spaces for publication in its 2007 “Because Green Matters” calendar. Entry forms, as well as complete rules and regulations, are available at www.projectevergreen.com. There is no entry fee, and the deadline for entries is Aug. 31.

The Iris Awards is a monthly competition, with a rotating panel of judges, that celebrates and rewards those who are either launching their careers or are already established. National Geographic is inviting people to submit digital photos for its newly launched Your Shot photo contest. The contest will run monthly. Each month’s theme will be announced monthly in the magazine and on the web site, www.ngm.com/yourshot.

The American Society of Media Photographers Foundation, the charitable arm of the ASMP, awards grants for educational programs in photography twice a year. The last application deadline for 2006 is Nov. 15. Application information and forms are available online at www.asmp.org/foundation.
