Description: The Floating Market in Bangkok is quite an attraction where vendors sell goods from their small boats along the canal. The scene can be overwhelming and extremely crowded, but also a fantastic experience of smells, sounds, and movement. Typically there is competition for your attention; however, I encountered this woman separating herself from the scene, as her supply of vegetables was almost gone.

I have been freelancing for 13 years as a self-taught photographer using the same Nikon 6006 I purchased when I was 19 years old. My photography allows me to artistically communicate my perspective of details, contrast, expression and emotion as they spontaneously occur. I have traveled to China, Thailand, Europe and Africa to further appreciate life and different cultures and so much that this world has to offer. Photography has enabled me to put my own life into perspective and it only inspires me to document even more.

I am a Seattle native currently working in advertising for the Seattle Weekly, and most recently was published by the International Library of Photography. I enjoy photographing people in their own environments with a candid and artistic approach. My mission is to learn from my surroundings and continue to grow as an artist and share my interpretations through photography.
