Photographer Gerald Forster has traveled five continents exploring controversial themes of cultural diversity, colonialism, globalized capitalism and individual identity.
 
The portraits are bathed in layers of natural light, photographed in a portable daylight studio, specifically designed for the purpose of field-portraiture.
The project celebrates the beauty of difference and emphasizes a communality of wisdom, dignity, integrity and strength of character shared by all humans.
